Help! we have got an old Outwell Indiana 4 tent and are struggling to put it up. There seems to be too much tension in the poles and it is way tricky to put the pin in the bottom of the poles. We have ripped it doing it today. Is it just too old or is there a trick to it? we have ensured the webbing is as loose as it can be underneath. Big thanks in anticipation. xx (i put a similar post up yesterday but got the tent name wrong - duh!)

I think I'm right in saying the Indiana became the Sun Valley.
Can you get the pin in the poles whilst you have it still all on the ground and then raise it up - rather than raising it and then trying to get the poles on the pin.
There is a lot of tension on our SV but not so much that it causes damage.
Have you got the webbing slackened off as much as you can until the poles are on the pin?.
Hi Keely, the Indiana and SVs were different models that were available at the same time. Apart from anything else the Indiana had three part steel poles, iyswim. Can't remember any particular problem regarding the ring and pin though, I'm afraid.
