Hi everyone, I haven't posted on here for a while - I've been one of those 'lurkers' who enjoy coming on here and reading everybody's messages!
I am wondering if anyone can help me with a question please. We had ordered a Orchy 600 from a camping show but they sold our tent to somebody else and couldnt' get another one at the same price. Anyway, to cut a long story short, we went to see them and now have a Sunncamp Evolution 600DL for the same price as we paid for the Orchy 600. Really pleased as it looks like a fantastic tent, but we are after somewhere to cook outside. Would a Vango Large Sun Canopy fit on our tent do you think please? I've seen them advertised for £39.95.
Thanks very much.

Not sure about the Vango but the Outwell Universal fits ours very well. So if they are similar in size I don't see a problem.
Look in my gallery for a pic.
Actually I looked at a pic fitted here http://www.campingworld.co.uk/LargeImage.aspx?ModelID=2268&FileName=2268-1.jpg and it looks to me like the vango is too low at the back to fit over the Evo. Maybe someone else has tried it

Hi hlk01 - thanks very much for your reply. Just looked at your gallery pics and the evolution looks fab with the Outwell canopy. I think you've just answered my question - brilliant!! How do you find the tent? Next weekend is our first trip with it - my daughter keeps saying that we're going away in the 'spaceship' tent
Tent is great - we use it as a large weekender LOL Its well made, and there's bags of room. Even the pointy bit at the front takes a standard height square table to put a dvd player or the like on. The big bedroom takes our double height queen size airbed with bags of room to spare. We also use the carpet from our Sun Valley 8, just turning under 2 of the corners. The only thing is that with the side canopy on the 2nd door on that side can' be used really. Just centre the canopy on the main door and it sits nicely on the two hooped poles. Goes up quickly as well. Enjoy!
Ps the colours go well too.

fantastic. i'm gonna order an outwell canopy i think, if i can find one - lots of places look like they've sold out!! after reading another post, i ordered a kingsize double height aerobed from tesco direct and hubby was worried that it wouldn't fit in the bedroom, but now i'll assure him it does!
thanks for your very quick and really helpful reply

Yes it does fit LOL.. we had a 600 which we had a wee problem with so sent it back It was replaced early the next season wiht the DL. The difference between the two tent is the poles that go from side to side. The 600 only has one. We just centered the canopy over the side door and it was perfectly fine, though it does sit at a bit of an angle.

Cheers for the advice Hlk01 I think I'll give that one a try!, being new campers didn't want to waste my money on the sunncamp one which looks a bit small!
