Hi,
Were after a 4 man weekender tent. Our children are 11 & 8 and we have the following requirements.
Must be able to stand up in tent (1.9m)
Must have SIG
Must be easy to erect
I have found the Aztec Galeria 4 online for £175, and this has lots of features (4000hh, SIG, Windows, Canopies over doors, poles included, Lifetime guarantee) so was considering this. It is also a spacious tent (5.5m X 3.2m)
Would like to stay under £200. Is the Aztec Galeria a sound buy or should I be looking elsewhere ??
thanks in advance.

Try great outdoors direct. They still had the Vango Weeekender 500 package a couple of days ago. For £160 you get the Icarus 500 and a large canopy as well. You may still be lucky.

I have the older Santiago with no SIG, it's been a good tent. Basic but simple and quick to erect, I can do it by myself. Each bedroom will fit something like 2 fat airic mats easily. We can just about fit our picnic table in to eat if the weather is terrible. It's our family weekend or touring tent.

It has superior specs to the Icarus, especially the 3000HH and the tuf-flex poles which have an extra layer aroundthe outside of the fibreglass which makes them much less vulnerable to splitting. It is more like an Outwell Nevada M (which is a little bigger as a 5 berth but comes in at about £230).
So I would say that the Aztec you have found at £175 is a very good price indeed for a good quality tent(it is showing in most places as £199). Their website also claims that EVERY tent is tested (i.e. not just a sample from each factory batch) and that each tent has a unique number, so that suggests they have good quality assurance processes as a manfacturer.
I've just had a look online and the Galeria has a rainsave hood over one of the side doors. I've had this feature before, on one of the original Monty 6s, and thought it was an extremely practical feature and well worth having. It also has two side doors, in addition to the big fairweather door at the front - again two side doors are not essential but if the weather is hitting one side of your tent its good to be able to pop in and out on the quieter side. Or if we ever have hot weather again, its one more door to open up for ventilation!

For just under £100 you can get the Licata 400 Takes 2 x 140cm wide double airbeds, bedroom can be divided by curtain, standing height, SIG, a doddle to put up, massive windows with curtains so light and airy, good ventilation.
