Bought a Vango Diablo 400XP just over two years ago and have used it twice. First time, it poured down - tent was brilliant.
I have just come back from a Girlguiding Camp ( 29th June-1st July 2018) where I took seven tents of various makes, only one was a Vango. The Leaders tent being the said Vango Diablo 400XP.
The other tents (All older) were fine. The Diablo on the other hand was a worry:-
Within one hour of pitching one of the bedroom poles broke right across, inside the metal joining. We managed to dig the pole out of the metal and do first aid with gaffa tape and reorder the pole sequence. Took a long time but okay, we fixed it.
Within 24 hours some of the other poles were warping, eek.
When we took it down after 40 hours more of the poles were snapping right across.
This tent was NOT over tensioned, we are very experienced campers.
We bought the tent because of Vango's good reputation but unfortunately this product has not lived up to it. (JOKE - being called Diablo, you'd think it could take the heat , wouldn't you?)
