after having made the decision to buy a polycotton (had fallen madly for the Bear Lake 6), it then didn't take long to realise that the BL6 couldn't offer the same as our Diablo does now. my attention was quickly turned to the Norfolk Lake, which i think will be perfect for our needs, and having convinced my OH that we simply couldn't manage without, i have just ordered it! Just counting the days until it arrives.....perhaps could use this time to convice OH that need the side extension to match......

Oh you lucky thing, am so jealous. I really really want the Norfolk Lake, but as I've already had three tents this year I just can't do it....... (haven't got the money either!)
I would have a bit of a think before you go and buy the side extension though. Purely due to the pack size of the tent alone. Its massive!! Make sure you can get it AND your essentials in the car first!! Exactly half of our space is taken up by just the Norfolk Lake (and thats in the boot of a Zafira). Great choice of tent though! well done.

We love ours too, great choice, (good to see they are becoming more popular, for a few minutes after buying it I thought we had bought a dud!!!!) We have had some great trips in ours however we have a trailer for carrying it now.....too big for our car!
we have the norfolk lake have had it for two years now it is a lovely tent easy to put up and down although we always forget how it came out the bag but i think we did that with our other tents too we have the side extension which is fab for a kitchen area and we have just recently bought the montana 6 front extension although not the same fabric and despite the shop telling us it wouldnt fit it fits like a glove giving u protection from the rain enjoy your tent i must say luxury is worth every penny when i see others struggling absolutely great in bad weather

I remember that "so excited" feeling - still get it every time we pitch! We LOVE our Norfolk Lake - one of those things in life you never regret buying despite the initial expense.
I would definitely recommend the side extension - it hardly adds any bulk if you pack it in with the main canvas and poles and you will not regret it when the rain comes :-)
Just back from 2 weeks in Cornwall in our Norfolk Lake. We went out and bought the side extension though. We use the front area of the tent for cooking, and in mild drizzle/gentle rain the front goes up as a canopy and we have no problems......but we had a couple of torrential downfalls and sat reading in the tent. It became very hot and stuffy but we couldn't roll up any windows. One trip to Redruth and hey presto...we have a side canopy. We were probably the only people in Cornwall who wanted it to rain so we could try it out! It wrked brilliantly.
