I am looking to replace our vango 350 which we love apart from the fact that you cant stand up in it!.I am looking for a light weight tunnel tent with an integral pitch -in- one bedroom-money no object if we find the right tent!

I have looked at the Robens double dawn-a new tent this year-I am struggling to find reviews of this tent on the internet. Does any one know anything about this tent or can anyone suggest a three-four berth tunnel tent with standing height-I want to keep the overall size small-most standing height tents seem to start at 5 berth.Thankyou so much

Hello and welcome to the forum. First post.

How many is it for?

If it hadn't been for the "light-weight" bit I would have suggested the Outwell Minnesota 4. I really like it though you would need to get the extension as well. However, sales have started and you can get the tent for about £220.

But after you reduced the criteria to a possible 3-berth then would the Outwell Nevada 3 suffice? From Go Outdoors you can get it for under £100.

If you do go for the Nevada 3 I would strongly suggest adding a canopy. This has been tried, tested and passed as ideal for the Nevada and it's only another £20.

I would second the suggestion of the Nevada. We have a 2008 Nevada M (which is 5 berth) and it is massive for the two of us. The 2009 models come in a 3-4 berth so I'd take a look at the reviews on those. Good points are SIG, can be pitched all-in-one and quickly (20mins), there's also extras like carpet, footprint and canopy as above if you were interested in that sort of thing.

edit: Have just discovered they now do a proper front extension for the Nevada M. Proper gutted as it comes in the new Mocca colour and our tent is blue :(

I can recommend the Sungari 400. It's four berth and pitches really easily. Plenty of head height throughout.

I can recommend a Quechua Base (or 2).

I have 2, one with a bedroom pod, and the other unit is twinned to make a social area. I have put photos in the tent review section.

Very quick to put up, and not bad to fold away after a bit of practice.

The Licata 400 is a lovely, easy to pitch tunnel tent.
Bedroom takes 2 x 140cm wide double airbeds, there is a privacy curtain to divide bedroom if necessary, standing height, SIG, massive windows so light and airy, door canopies out to form sun porch, large living area.

If you search the Net you can find it for just under £100 - BARGAIN!!
