Can anyone help me. We got a diablo 900 xp in 2007, used it for 9 nights and it had to be returned with a number of faults. Vango admited the tent was a shop display ans should never have been sold. We got a replacement and used it for another 9 nights the next year ( 2008 ) with little problems and no rain. We used the tent for the second time last week with a small amount or rain. We ended up with three indoor swiming pools !!! Are we just dam unlucky or has anyone had problems with this tent. I think it must be the black/merc tent as I have never seen another one and Vango have admitted they only made a few of them then stopped.

Vango has a problem with leaky tents I bought a Nile 600 this year and had to return it after one trip away rain come in everywere.
They don't have this issue with every tent bytheway, my Aspen 700dlx was absolutely faultless in every way, but now and again specific models will turn out this way and certainly seem's to be the way for the Nile especially.
I have friends who have the Diablo although not that colour and have had no problem's, could imagine the colour being a problem but the fact they were made in a different batch may have more to do with it, hope you get some joy from the retailer.

Thanks for all the help. I am under the impression that vango made this tent ( Diablo 900 XP Black/merc ) as a display tent. I dont think it was evern ment ot have been sold to the public. This is just guess work. I have been told Vango will be contacting us over the next week so we can return the tent for further tests and we will eather have the tent repaired or replaced. I have to be honest but I was wanting a refund as I have lost heart in Vango products.
Happy to confirm that we have a Diablo (albeit 600 and in sage colour) and have never worried about leaks, despite some heavy rain. I have always been very happy with our tent, hopefully yours will be a 'one off' problem, and the repaired / replacement tent will provide you as many happy camping times as ours has.
