Does anyone know if the outwell kids rooms fit in the older version of their tents? I am thinking about buying a second hand outwell hartford XL 2007 model(inner and fly sheet separate.) Will the kids room fit in this?
Help please x

I would say not but you could always adapt it to fit.
It's to do with the securing and hanging points of the bedrooms. They changed the bedrooms and shape of the tent slightly for the 2008 Hartfords and also made them pitch all in one instead of inner first.
Basically all your hanging points will probably be in the wrong positions. Check how the kids room secures - is it all clip in or some clip and some toggle?
How do the bedroom pods fit into the 2007 Hartford? some toggle and some clip or all clip?

Do you ever think you should just buy new and get exactly what you want! My kids will grind me down if we don't get this room. They are only 5 and 2 by the way!
As far as i know in the 2007 and pre versions the sleeping pods could not be removed. this is because of the inner first pitching. I even asked the misses about it and she thought the same. So the kidsrooms cannot be build in the 2007 (pre) models. In the next picture you can see that the sleeping pods do not have any hanging points. If you take a good look at the pictures in the hartford xl tent review section you will see no hanging point above the pod's.
But we only had this model for about a week then it was replaced with the 2008 model , but this is a long story
Best regards,
Marcel
P.S. the pictures 1 to 3 show the old model

I wanted to put in a hyper links to the picture's , made the whole text ready and then something went wrong with the hyperlink. So i changed the text without deleting my first text. So now the first sentence about the pictures doesn't make sense at al.
------------- with the right tent you don't need a caravan.
