i have just ordered this tent as i am fed up with the pro action one we have, which i am going to take back to argos at the weekend. from what i can make out it is exactly the same as the gelert horizon 6 so the gelert porch should fit it, before i buy the porch does any one know if it will defineatley fit?
also has anyone ordered stuff from family camping supplies as they are offering the best price on the porch

no i hadn't, but i have now! the tent we have been using doesn't have windows so losing half a window would not be a problem, although the wind might be so i might hold off on buying the porch for now
We are going for the first time this weekend camping with the HiGear Zenobia and porch will let you know how we get on. We are going to Angelsey for 5 nts and the site is prone to high winds so should be a good test for the tent and porch.

thanks for that, i will be interested in how you get on.
i know it has small windows but i meant the tent that i am replacing it with has no windows
If you want one these porches you may not want to wait too much longer as most places have now sold out for the year and I've heard that Gelert are discontinuing them. One place that still has them (green only) is campers-universe.com (I have no connection with them by the way!).
I have orderedplenty of things from family camping supplies all has arrived on time with no hassle whatsoever, also helpful on the phone i got my porch from these.
We went to Angelsey and the Zenobia stood up to gale force winds. 6 tents crumbled but ours managed to stay the course. Not sure if this was pure luck in where we had pitched, or the delta pegs we used, but it also rained hard and we were snug and dry the whole time.
In regards to the porch we couldnt have managed without it. In those conditions it was used for stripping off (not literally, lol) before we got into the tent leaving muddy wellies and wet coats in the porch. I was in 2 minds about purchasing the porch but I am so glad I did.
Also I noticed the other thread re the windows and making it dark in the main tent. The Zenobia has a cream roof and it didnt seem as dark as I think the Gelert Blue models are which have blue roof. Granted the porch roof is green but with the cream roof of the tent it didnt seem too dark. We personally didnt mind the window being part blocked and there are 2 other windows on the other side of the tent.
