We think our Vermont XL is fab. Lots of room yet quick and easy to put up. However we have been fortunate in that every time we have been away in it the weather has been beautiful - so cannot comment on how it stands up to rain / wind.

We are going camping again next week - I've a strong feeling it will be tested then!

We looked at the Florida, Vermont L, Vermont XL and Ohio at Yeomans camping exhibition in Evesham on saturday - originally OH liked the Florida and I liked the Ohio but we ended up buying the Vermont XL!!  This was mainly due to the massive space in the lounge area and porch area of the tent and the price - the Florida, Vermont L and Ohio are £499 (but last weekend if you ordered on the internet you received 10% discount) the Vermont XL was a little more expensive at £599 but again we got the 10% discount and a few other freebies thrown in for good measure as we ordered these at the camping exhibition.  Don't regret our discussion but it did take us over an hour to make our minds up!!

We have the Vermont XL and it's a fabulous tent.  Camped last year in Cornwall on top of a cliff and had appalling weather all week.  A lot of tents on the site collapsed and even the some of the caravan awnings were starting to give way.  We were rock solid (also had deltas though).  Also helped to keep cabin fever away with the space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing if needed.  This year was completely different with fantastic weather in the Lake District and the awning provided a lovely shady place to sit.  Also found by keeping the inner living area shut off with the fly screens up all the time, you get a nice midge free place to sit if needed.  Best buy we ever made, can't fault it.

Love the Vermonts. They are sturdy, spacious, easy to put up,not much to add really except if we were in the market for another polyester tent the Vermont L would be the top of our list.

Have to agree with Sunvalley as ever, if polyester is your thing, you will find no better family tent that's as stong as an ox but please purchase from a dealer who will replace if any issues arise due to outwells quality of late. Nice choice
