Wow im so excited..

Ordered from Outdoor Megastore late Tuesday night and it arrived Thursday morning.

Now what do i do, we go for a week at Sandy balls on the 31st, do we test pitch or wing it?

Im a bit like oh my god hows it going to fit in the car as we also got the extension, which looks about the same size as our old tent lol.

If i get it out will i get it back in lol. Its sat in the front room all nicely wrapped up and waiting. I feel like abig kid again, help!

Get outside and pitch it, a couple of times if you can. We went camping for the first time a couple of week ago. Did the practice pitch, no problems - the tent was up and trimmed in 35 minutes.

But taking it down (for the first time) was a totally different matter. What a palaver! Thank heavens we practised otherwise we would have looked a right pair of numpties on the campsite. Having practised, it was easy and everthing fitted in the bag.

Check the "set up" tab here: http://www.outwell.dk/TentSetUp.aspx?b=Outwell&bid=2&lid=1&l=en-GB&TentId=605&catID=251&pid=1

Look at the video and other tips - way more useful than the instructions.

Oh yes - it's a good idea to try everything in your car too. You need to work it so the groundsheet/tent/poles come out first and go in last.

Hi Jilly

We have the Nevada M and also recently purchased the Front Extension, you'll love it. We camped at Sherwood Forest last week and used the extension for the first time and it's excellent, it really does make a big difference to the tent, although it took us as long to put the extension up as it did the tent.

We've only camped a few times but have had no problems pitching the tent or packing it away.  It goes back in the bags quite easy.

I would recommend getting some Delta Pegs though, even if its just for the extension because with it being open at the front, if it's windy, it moves about a bit.  When we pitched last week, there was hardly any wind but the next day, we had some strong winds which pulled some pegs out on a tent near us.  I used our new delta pegs for the first time on the tent and extension and they were excellent.  Although the extension walls were blowing about a bit, it was nice and secure with the deltas.

Paul

If its windy do it their way and peg the tent down at the back if its not the quickest and easiest way is to stand it up and peg out the middle top guy line and then walk the tent out and peg out the front top guy line and its up.

Its then just a matter of walking round it stretching out each section.Peg out the back fully then the front then the sides, sorted.

The door with the canopy can be a bit awkward with the zips.To remedy the strain on the zips i have threaded a length of guy line through the small pole sleeve. We then just push the two ploes inwards to each other and i tie the threaded line to each pole and voila !..... free running zips with no stress points

Thanks for the tips Paul and Surfin.

We have loads of rock pegs as Sandy balls  is hard ground, so we should hopefully be ok. We ummed and arred about getting the front extension but with a place to sit out in and put our kitchen bits and bobs it should be great.

Good idea with the guy line on the canopy bit. Ive read a few threads about the awkward zips.

I will post some pics up on my return and fingers crossed all will go well.

Thanks Jill
