hello all, this is my 1st post on this forum although im no newbie to sleeping under fabric!

Due to our wet and very windy visit to Park Foot, Pooley Bridge last week we are no longer the owners of a coleman darwin 7. It was a fantastic tent while it lasted (although we only had 4 trips in it).

Thanks to the strong constant wind torretial rain and thunder storms, i am now able to buy an Outwell Vermont. My OH wasnt too keen on buying a new tent prior to the last holiday, so thank you mother nature for destroying the coleman!

Im looking forward to the delivery of our new tent this week and have booked a mini holiday to Clitheroe for mid sept to test run.

Any one know the best place to get carpets/footprints?

regards

Sorry to hear about the Coleman (not really lol) Outwell's are very popular and that's a monster tent you have now.

Have you test pitched it yet?

As for carpets/footprints - not sure, but try Somerset Camping.

Oh yes...... and welcome to the forum 17

Congratulations on your purchase - we recently bought the Vermont XL after getting tent envy at Clippesby in May. We also watched You Tube Man put up in 10 mins - unfortunately we are not quite that quick but still pretty easy to erect. We previously had a Sunncamp Vario 9 that took twice as long.

We have used it two or three times and are really pleased with it - we have the carpet and footprint from Allweathers and they make a real difference - so warm!

One tip though - make sure you remember to remove the wardrobe pole when collapsing - we didn't and managed to leave an L shaped rip in the roof (now repaired thanks to the wonders of tenacious tape!!)
