After pitcjing and collapsing our 12 man tent on 5 different sites in the scorching heat this summer we have decided it is actually time to downsize.
We currently have a Sunncamp tourist XP12 which we all love but it has many limitations - size, pitching inner first and taking at least 45 minutes to put up. Additionally it is bulky and takes up a huge amount of space in the boot - at least 80% of the floorspace and half way up the back of the seats.
I wondered if any of you out there had suggestions for the perfect tent.
My ideal would be at least a 6man with the following
-pitch fly first
- SIG
- ideally ready fitted bedrooms but if not strong hooks to hang them up (our previous tent had plastic hooks and rings and the hooks came off after 2 days)
- a closed porch area so that mum and I can sit and drink away from the kids even if its cold
- not weight much more than 38kg
- be quick and easy to pitch
I am leaning towards a tunnel tent if only because they look like they have less pegs to put in. Our current tent has at least 40 to put in without counting the guys. Not much fun on sun baked soil.

I know that if I just wander around a tent show mum and I will want some huge monster again just because they are lovely but if I go in with ideas and recommendations it will be easier. I did some research when we got back from the holiday on Friday and am leaning Outwell-wards but they are heavy in the main. The Vango sungari 600 looks pretty good as well. Does any-one have one and any tips they can offer me?

Many thanks

Montana 6 fits your requirements. The bed pods can be left in and the living space is huge, even more so if the extension is added.
