Does anyone know if there are any good camping shops in Hampshire (I live near Southampton)? I am after one that has a good tent display as I really would like to see the Outwell Vermont and Montana errected.
Many thanks

The only places I know of is Towsure in Southampton - but they only have small tents on display (may be worth ringing them up to see if they have the tents you want). The other place is on the road to Bognor, it is in the grounds of a Wyevale garden centre - can't remember the name of it at the mo - they definitely have the tents on display you want to look at.
Many thanks :o) Tried Towsure and not alot there, also looked at a camping shop in West End (next to Haskins/Hobbycraft) good display here but no Outwells at all.
The forest camping centre, Three legged Cross, Ringwood is a good camping shop with a large display. I was there a couple of weeks ago, a lot of the display tents were being sold off as the end of the season nears, you might have to wait until next season perhaps or go to one of the camping exhibitions.

Hi, the camping shop near chichester is DW camping. Went there a week ago and most of the display had been sold off. Think the season starts again in March..
The Forest Camping Centre is an excellent camping shop - however, it does not stock Outwell. You'll find it at the garden centre down the road from Moors Valley Country Park.
If you want Outwell try the camping shop at the Oakdene Camp Site at St Leonards. They are an Outwell dealer, athough I don't remember seeing any Vermonts pitched there.
We had a Vermont XL until we changed to a tin tent and loved it.

try http://www.skcamping.com/ they are just past ringwood, we went there 2 years back and they had a good display of tents on show.
SK camping is in Surrey, not close to Southhampton.
Slighty nearer to Southhampton, tho still a fair way is Camping and leisure world at Frensham. See here

Camping & leisure world at Frensham (Near Farnham) has an enormous display of tents, and carries a lot of outwellls on display. Its only 30 mins up the road !!
I can do Farnham, not far from the in laws! Many thanks :o)
well worth the visit they have a big display, tho might be worth a call to see how much is still up as we're nearing the end of season now.

That was my plan, have seen them cheaper elsewhere! Emailed them and they have a Vermont L on display so I may well wander that way tomorrow!
I do have another question! I am in no rush to buy the Vermont as we won't be using it until next year. I am a complete novice when it comes to camping. Would we be better to buy one now or wait to the new seaon and buy one then or are they likely to be reduced in the January sales? Didn't know if popular tents such as the Vermont were ever reduced in the sales.
