Hi, was wondering if anyone out there can help me, I've recently bought a Vango Venture 500 which I love, but is a bit arkward to put up on my own, especially when it's windy. I have been thinking about a Kyham Freelander [coz of it's quick-click system]. I want the room of the Vango i.e height and living space even though there's only me in it. Any ideas on what else to look at for ease of pitching on my own or advice about the Freelander. Thanks in hope

It shouldn't necessarily effect your decision but you should be aware that Khyam just went "under"..... though hopefully someone will buy them and do a relaunch or something?
Who knows these days?

Although your warranty/contract is always with the retailer, never with the distributor/manufacturer. However the lack of UK supplier could affect resale prices.

Thanks, I will get the hang of it, like you said Linny, just need more practise. Easy to do in my garden, just need more practise in the wind. It won't beat me and like I said I love the tent.
Thanks for the input. I've been looking at the Vango Equinox 350 this weekend, I know it's expensive and you can't stand up in it, but it appeals to me. Also has anyone got any comments about Khyam Nomad, seen one of these today and the benefit I see with this is the zip on porch.
Think there's too much choice out there for an undecive person like me.
I've got the Equinox 350. However, after I bought this tent, I happened to see a Vango Omega on display, so of course I had to have a good nosey at it To be perfectly honest, the only difference I could see between the two tents is that the Equinox has got the tension band system - otherwise they appear to be almost exactly alike. If I had seen the Omega first, I would have bought that one as it's a lot cheaper than the Equinox. So have a good look at both before you pay the much higher price for an Equinox.
Hi Jean, Thanks for that, will have to find somewhere that has the Omega on display, left it a bit late in the season I know. Do you know of any tent shows coming up before next year so I can have a really good look round.
