Finally after waiting all weekend to have a trial run with our new Longleat Rigi-dome Hubby has declared he has time later this aft and the weather is suitable.

Anyone got any last minute tips to make this go as smoothly as possible? The whole point of new tent was a quick set up to stop said hubby getting grumpy so really hoping this works!

Wish he'd hurry up and come home, I want to get it up!!!

It does get easier with practice - there is a certain 'knack', Usually prefer to do it on my own as I know my own system and there is less risk of straining a joint.

Only ask hubby and kids to help if it is blowing a gale as I need them as ballast on the four corners till I have the tent positioned and the main four guys in place.

My hubby isn't the type that would leave me to it, and I need to keep an eye on him that he respects the joints.

Any top tips for if there is a wee bit off wind?

Well it went o.k though nothing like the video which made it look really easy! Took both of us, can't quite see how  you do it on your own. Very impressed with how quick it goes up,wouldn't all go back in the bag of course. Looking forward to trying it out for real on the 17th.

Jenny it gets easier with practice.   First couple of times you fight it  then comes the day that you go with it , and everything just clicks into place,  as it should.   As for packing away collapse it, lay it flat and gently pull each end ( separately )  and let the bedroom ends go into their natural folds.  These should now be laying flat on the ground. Now gently pull the front which will be bunched up  to the side you will be rolling .  Check legs are still bunched together then fold the other half over.   Start rolling from the legs, keep it tight and lay the bag at the end,  as you finish rolling carry on and roll directly in the bag. 

It took longer to type this up than it takes to do it.  

Only one other piece of advice is use your triguys as soon as it's on it's knees going up and don't take them off until it's down on it's knees going down,  these are large tents and a gust of wind will lift them.
