Hi in July this year we bought a Maryland XL for the sum of £599. I have never spent this much on a tent before but as we were planning on camping for a good while we wanted to get the right one. I love the tents space and layout but have noticed the quality is not as good as it should be for a tent of this price. On our first outing in Aug 09 we noticed the stitching in the corner of the main part of the tent has loosened, this was like this as it went up and was not caused by us. It seems very tight and i am scared it is going to get worse.
I have written to the company we have bought it from but had no response and to be honest i probably would have just put up with it until i read about other people on here who have had problems with their marylands.
I have got a pic to show you what i mean i just need to work out how to put it on here. I would be grateful in any advice on what you would do in my situation or do you think i should just try to repair??

if it was me i would return it , for £599 you would expect better quality than that.

Thanks for that, i want to return but wanted to see what others thought, always worry i am just moaning but there is no way i can repair it, i havent a clue.

Forgot to add that the poles for the porch also broke while away. The elastic part inside i mean.
Just been reading some old posts about Outdoor megastore returns, which is where my tent is from and they not that good, just hoping i have better luck!

Sorry to hear about your problem. I've seen your photos and I would be marching it straight back.

Having read all the niggles, I checked mine over last weekend and I've noticed a couple of small things that are faults (one of the windows has been stitched incorrectly and there is no tape there. There is also reinforcing tape just stuck to one of the panels.)

Hope you get a good result.
