hi all,

we are off to Clitheroe this aft for the weekend. going to be pitching our new Outwell Vermont for the first time, not been able to have a practice run on the park so should be a laugh for the other campers at least!! we have all the bits and pieces just no idea how to put them together! we have watched a guy get the xl up in 10 mins on his own on youtube so it cant be that hard can it? lol

just wonering if you guys had any tips for us. Any comments welcome!!

Hi,

spread your canvas out and peg down the back corners,then starting from the back put in the first set of poles,connect them to the ring and pins and stand that section up and put a guy on,then either do the front next and stand it up and put a guy on and then fill in with the others,or keep working from the back to the front.Then all you need do is peg out the side guys and then peg out along the bottom.
Just make sure you have all the doors open at first to get plenty of air inside the tent,otherwise you might find it hard to lift the canvas with the first set of poles.When you peg out the front at the bottom close the door before hand

I agree with Sue - we put ours up back poles first and work forwards.  The most difficult thing is getting these first poles upright but that's where a child comes in handy - we send our 10 year old crawling under the fabric which releases the vacuum!!
