Hi all,

After purchasing my dream tent at the weekend I am really struggling to get hold of a carpet for my Bear Lake 6.

Has anyone seen any available lately I think I have visited nearly every camping website available!!!!

Failing that does anybody have any idea about Outwells plans for 2010, will they still be producing the Bear Lake and therefore more stock of carpets will become available soon......and will next seasons carpet match this seasons tent???

Any insider knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Keri
x

Might be worth calling round your local shops, they often have them out of stock online when they have stock in the shops.....especially if they have a lot of branches.

Had a quick look online and the closest is the monty 6 if you can find one of these.

Vermont L also has similar dimensions, however there is likely to be a hole in the carpet to accomodate the wardrobe bit of the vermont. Might look a little odd...

They have them here.

Sorry to disappoint you but I had the same problem trying to get a footprint for my tent , it seems everywhere is totally sold out of most of Outwell tent accessories for this year.

I take it you have tried Ebay........i ended up getting mine from there but had to pay well over the odds for it

Same hear too, We are using a tarp bought from B&Q for £11.00 as a foot print and the carpet from our Nevada L which is about 18" short all round but still keeps the feet nice and comfy. As to weather it will be available next year and in the same colour I was reasured by my stockist that it would be.

ok, Yeomans have a Minnesota 6 carpet the dimensions are 240 x 415cm

Bear lake 6 Dimensions are 280 x 420 cm.

If you can deal with the gap of about a foot from front to back (usually quite good to have a bt of a gap at the front to kick off wet boots), you only need pay £49.95

You could try Crowland Camping & Caravanning. Even though they don't stock some of the Outwell tents, they seem to carry quite a few of the carpets and footprints. Their number is 01733 210186. The carpet isn't listed on their website but I don't think everything is - might be worth a go?
