I'm thinking of buying a sun valley 8 and have seen some photos of them with an enclosed awning at the front and an open one, are these from different years? I like the idea of the one that can be closed up at night but can't seem to find it. All advice welcome, thanks.

The post 2006 Sun Valley 8 purely has a canopy at the front , the older versions had the enclosed front section similar to the Norfolk Lake.

Personally we had two Sun Valley 8's at the beginning of the season, both suffered from ripped SIGs and were sent back...so be careful...although I am sure that there are many happy SV8 owners out there. We also found it very hot in the sun and with two young children ended up swapping for a polycotton Bear Lake...but its horses for courses.

I think that it was the 2008 model year that changed to the open front canopy.

Our 2007 has the closed in front like the Norfolk Lake.

zorro is right, 2006 and 2007 models had closed in porch , 2008 had open front canopy.
