Hi Pempitcher
I have a BL6 (very proud owner ) after having many other tents I bought this tent because after reeding all the great write ups it gets and seeing it at a shop display felt it best suited our needs for a tent that we could use for all year round camping, it is extremly stable and well made, the polycotton is a superb material making it cool in side WHEN it is hot lol and warm when it's not another benefit is the reduced noise in side. We find the layout very comfortable it is lovely to sit under the awning and also with the large front windows it is just as nice to sit inside and I would say offers ample space for you.
Wether it is suitable for your family sleeping arrangements is the question as there are only two of us I can't help but the main compartment is ample large enough for a double air bed with some space, the second pod is slightly smaller but would accomodate two single air beds.
Depending on your transport and budget it might also be worth looking at the Northfolk Lake
I hope I have helped any other questions feel free to ask
