Looking to buy a "Quechua 2 Seconds XL III" tent and can't seem to find any online stores. I could order from "Decathlon" but would need to pick up from a store and there 100+ mles away from me.

Anyone got links to a store?

what a lot of people do is get a third party to buy and post on.  I did that with my recent quechua tent.  My first tent and also a tarp was bought from fleabay at an inflated price.  Great tents though!

Are you sure they stock tents at this time of year? they don't list them on their website. You might have to wait until next year. Never been in a UK store but the French Decathlons have them erected instore Easter onwards. Perhaps you could pick one up on next years first camping trip if you are going in the right direction.

I went to our local Decathlon last weekend and all the camping gear had been removed minus a few sleeping bags/mats and torches etc.

Thanks guys for the information.

Looks like they don't want to sell tents in the UK!

steddiguy

I've seen the ebay stuff but you are paying a big premium.

Can you list any store, using Google, that I can buy one from online and get it delivered, because I can't?

Whoever is the marketing/sales manager at Quechua needs sacking because they have a major failing in their business plan.

Thanks for the reply

Mark

I agree with you RibTime.  I am after the 80Seconds base as I want to use it as a Utility tent, but being in Bristol I don't have a store anywhere near me and the ones on ebay are such a lot more money.

I am hoping I can talk my friend in Nottingham to go and get me one as we are all meeting up this weekend for a camping weekend in the Cotswolds.

But it is time they got into selling on line as they need to keep up with how people shop nowadays.

Just did a google seacrh fot that tent RIb and the only results i got back are from ebay....doh!

Ok, whats going to be worse? The cost of the petrol to go to the camping store or paying the postage off ebay? It may come down to you deciding those things

To be honest I won't bother buying the tent even though it appears to have everything I need and has very good reviews on this site.

Not the biggest loss to their profits but I'm sure their short sightedness will have caused other people to look elsewhere.

So now I'm looking at...

Outwell Jersey M

Vango Swift 300

Gelert Twister 3 or even the Twister 4

We have the seconds base (with inner) and a 2 second III on the garage, used once I think! Can't see us using them again but we're in Stoke so probably no easier than going to the shop.
