I think there must be a problem with the fly, as you say the canopy is fine and I have had Vangos that have lasted me 5+ years and they get some real use. All I can say is has the material quality changed and you have perehaps a coating fault on yours that has affected the nylon?. I too would always sing the praise of Vango, they generally make qulity well designed tents and when there are issues they recall them- something Outwell could learn from. Its very disappointing that Vango dont want to adress your issues and I can see it would sour your views of them.

With regards to the problem you are having with the flysheet for your Diablo please contact services at amg-group.co.uk with the model, year and colour of your tent and they will hopefully be able to help you.
Sevices is a devision of AMG Group, Vango's parent company, that can help with all sorts of problems with tents of any make, not just Vango.
I am a canvas convert, but also have a Vango Orchy and a Vango Sun canopy. We`ve used ours excessively for three years, up until this september and when we put it away last time it seemed to be in toptop condition.
I would be very unhappy if I was you and complain some more
Is it green? Don't know if this is true or not but when we were looking at tents a bloke in an independent camping shop advised us if we wanted a Vango to go for the new blue colour as they were better for UV/weathering than the green ones. They had a green one up outside and he showed us how it was getting brittle and said it hadn't been up that long.

No it's light blue. Vango have said I should send the flysheet back to them for assessment, which I shall be doing as soon as I can organise it. Even if they agree that there is a defect and give me a new tent, as we bought the whole kit (colour matched large canopy, two windbreaks) we will be left with mis-matched kit. Doesn't bother me so much, but the Mrs will be horrified at going away with a non-colour-co-ordinated outift!! Also worth pointing out that we have had a Sunncamp Handy kitchen tent for much longer than this Diablo which is showing NO signs of UV degredation.

Sounds a bit daft unless they'd had several brittle ones & they were all green, alongside others in same conditions in other colours, which were ok. Otherwise why pick the colour as the reason ? It could be anything.
They had a blue one up too, something small like a Beta or something, in blue and that seemed in better condition. The green one was a Tigris 600. As I say, I don't know if it is true, it's just what I was told. The bloke has had the shop for 30 years so I assumed he knew what he was on about.

That's the reason I decided to get a large Vango when the family came along - I too had a couple of Force Tens over the years and they lasted amazingly well, in quite dreadful conditions - not much sun though.....
