May want to join the club, have been looking at the carolina3 for a weekender nearly brought one at the £139 bargain but out of stock. I said on a thread just last week I have nothing on my wish list at the moment but have toyed with this tent before, then said no shouldnt do it. Then i see the pictures and really want one as a weekender again. Now i gotta wait for the newer version more expensive no doubt but possible extension or possibly the small one, just cant wait. Strange though how i just settled into the winter was managing the tent bug not to bad but now want tent, want holiday, want want, bloody tent pictures look what you did

Lol...come on in. I don't really have the problem of a tent bug...need and necessity coupled with cashflow problems usually dictates if I buy a new tent or not.
My old tent is a pretty good little tent with stand up height but the porch/living area is rather small. I wanted a living space I could walk around in or just sit in comfort and watch the world go by when the weather is bad. The Carolina 3, especially with it's SIG, is like a palace in comparison.
Well, awaiting delivery in a few days, but then I can officially be part of this club. I went ahead and ordered it ....and still grinning ear to ear about being so naughty.
Welcome to the club but you still have to go through the initiation ceremony of standing on one leg with a trousers leg rolled up. Let me know when you've done it.

Just a tip...if you are a weed like me you will probably have great difficulty in lifting the thing when it first arrives. You will find that the poles are in a seperate bag and it is easier and lighter to carry the poles and tent seperately.
At least you won't split your trousers trying to lift it then
The loop is on the outside of the flysheet and the slider acts just like a normal toggle but you can pull it tighter If you go to the Carolina 3 reviews in the tent review the 3rd picture shows how it works and the 4th pic shows the loops on the out side HTH's Steve
Just had another look and got it now thanks (ok...took me long enough - lol). I had actually done it right but didn't realise at the time
