Hello,

I think this question has been asked in the forum but I wonder if anyone has owned a Vango Orchy and Tigris?

The 400 models seem to be a similar price at the moment and I'm stuck between the two.

I know that the Tigris is bigger (and heavier) but does the dome shape of the Orchy mean more useful headroom?

Thanks

 Hi impromptuandy

I looked a Tigris 400 but in the end went for the Orchy 400, as the crossover poles on the Orchy looked sturdier than the hoops on the Tigris. Only bought it last month so have only pitched in the garden. Pitches ok single handed.

Also I think the Tigris has a larger footprint (too big for me). The Orchy is plenty big enough for myself. Plenty of room inside for chairs, table and kitchen unit. Plenty of headroom.

The 2010 Orchy has a different front brow pole (longer) than the 2009 version.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Thanks for the info.

I managed to get an Orchy 400 in smoke, and a footprint and carpet for about £105 with p&p on ebay.

Just need to wait for the spring now...

One more question,

I'm thinking about trying to get a canopy to - I think the Large Sun Canopy will fit (albeit it roughly) on an Orchy 400, but does anyone know how this canopy will match with the smoke colour?

The 2009 one seem to be about £70 still.
