Does anyone know if you can use a side extension from other Outwell tents to fit the Bear please? Just looking and wondering if the Vermont one would fit. The Vermont one is bigger than Bear but wondered if we could save some money. Am not really bothered that one would be polycotton and the other polyester.

I think that the Vango tunnel canopy will fit the Bear Lake 6. I bought a Bear Lake 6 late this year and already have the Vango tunnel canopy so I'm hoping it will fit. It should do! Any Tunnel tent canopy should fit because it's to do with the shape!
Hope this helps... XX
Thanks Astronaut, I have been watching to see if it will come down anymore. Every penny counts lol. Its while I was looking on there that I saw the Vermont extension and got to wondering.

You can buy the proper BL6 side Ext from Yeomans for 120 just now ( rrp is 250 )
DONT try to use anything else - as it will be like a dogs dinner after he has been sick ! even the proper kit has to be put upright - otherwise its a mess - so as for some other stupid thing - well forget it - would you put a lada roof rack on your bentley ??? I think not !
I would watch using a polyester canopy on a polycotton tent, I was worried the edges of the canopy would rub on the roof compromising the polycotton, so decided to go for the right one.
A friend has the vermont and canopy, and when it rains hard, they get drips...
I'm sure it would be ok, but I worry about these things.
