This is a message from Vango:
In the current stock of the 2010 Vango Icarus Canopies there are minor errors in the support materials accompanying the canopies which may cause confusion.
At present the hang tag reads “Designed specifically for our Artemis tent…” when it should read “Designed specifically for our Icarus tent.” All other information on the tag is correct in relation to the Icarus Canopy.
The pitching instructions, which are sewn into the bag which the Icarus canopy comes in, relate to the Sungari canopy. However, please be aware that the actual pitching instructions for the models are exactly the same. The only differences are that at the top of the page there is the word ’Sungari’ rather than ‘Icarus’ and the illustration shows pre-angled poles which are not applicable to the Icarus canopy.
Due to these discrepancies being of a minor nature the Sungari Canopy pitching instructions can be used for the Icarus Canopy and will have no adverse effect on the performance of the Icarus Canopy when it is pitched.
We apologise for any confusion this may have caused people and can assure everybody that the Icarus Canopy itself is great and makes a perfect addition to an already great tent. These are very minor issues which have now been rectified for future production runs.
The correct pitching instructions can be downloaded from the Vango website www.vango.co.uk.
