We are looking to get a weekend tent and would prefer to view before we buy. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a local stockist within the west midlands/staffordshire area with some good displays.

go outdoors in wolverhampton, newport mere garden centre, and there is somewhere in halsowen..... hope this helps, best give them a call to ask if they have there tents up first

Hi. Don't know where in Staffordshire you are, but Stapeley Water Gardens near Nantwich say they'll have their display tents up by the end of this month. Reasonable camping shop inside the centre which they say is being enlarged this year. Also, if you are interested they also have their Palms Tropical Oasis which you have to pay to enter, but which is a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.

You may find Mid West has been "re-badged" as Yeomans as they are now part of their group.

Also, a Stafford (?) based retailer sometimes has temporary outdoor displays at Holly Bush Garden Centre (Between Cannock and Wolverhampton).

We went to Yeomans a couple of weeks ago and their new displays weren't up, just some ex-show tents.

They have a big selection displayed though during the camping season.

Tamworth Camping have a few tents out and have accessories - also is on ebay a lot.

 

Also theres a place in Measham it was Barrets but I can't remember what it is now - Winfields ?

I know none of these are close to you but check it out. It is a huge field filled with every tent imaginable put up. You can then buy from the massive stock they have stacked up in outbuildings and large marquees or you can buy a display model and collect on the last day. Not sure about that but the prices are good whichever way you do it.    Really, really low prices on the kit that sell in the large barn as well. Bought two coleman comforts for £25 last year not to mention lots of other stuff.

Have a look. I promise you will have a whale of time going from tent to tent and not making up your mind

I spent around 4 hours there the last time I went.
