Hi folks

Can anyone tell me if they know whether the 2010 version of this tent has a fully sewn-in ground sheet? I have seen something to this effect on one site (worldofcamping.co.uk) but most other sites claiming to sell the 2010 model still talk about a "riser groundsheet" which isn't what I want - seen it in a display model and looks messy compared to a sewn-in one. I'm reluctant to buy one online in case what arrives isn't what I thought I was ordering!

Thanks.
D.

I would like to know this too as was looking at this tent just now on the same site that you got the info off.

I like the net on doors as this would help air flow without an escape route for my dog.A sewn in grounsheet would then also be very usefull.

Anyone bought this and found out?

Thanks for any replies.

Moira

You may be interested to know that the Gelert Ottawa 4 is the same tent as the HiGear Gobi sold by GoOutdoors. It comes in various colours. I have the 2009 HiGear version in a tasteful green and grey. The 2010 HiGear version is blue. I have seen a 2010 Gelert version in brown being sold by John Lewis.

The 2009 and 2010 HiGear version certainly do not have a SIG but rather a very good riser / bathtub type groundsheet. Earlier this summer GoOutdoors had the tent on offer at £60 which was a ridiculous bargain.

I bought it last year, and have used it 8 times (2 adults + 2 young kids)already and swear by it. Good quality, quick to pitch and compact pack size. It is very spacious for its size due to the near vertical sides and good head height. It is also very stable - even without guys - due to the semi-geodesic design.

We use one of those brilliant tasteful Dutch cotton tarps at the front and the whole thing looks superb and makes for great camping.

Hi All

Thanks for contributing to this thread.

Here's a link to a Gelert version of this tent, in mocha, and if you check out pics 3, 4 and 5 (of 7), this definitely looks like a full-blown SIG.

Let me know if you find out anything more.

Cheers!

Hi ,also looking for very cheap porch fpr this tent.

Will the Coleman Coastline delux fit at all.

Never had a porch on a tent and really not sure how they fit ,I assume they are all different fittings depending on type?

That one looks like a zip on canopy so maybe not what I'm looking for.

I would make do with a gazebo I already have if it wasn't for some sites charging extra for gazebos.

Thanks
