My wife thinks rubbing a candle along the zip should make them quieter. Does anbody know if this works, or would the wax interfere with the waterproof properties of the tent when it is packed away

ok, so i just googled this and got an entry about quietning the zips on cannabis growing tents?!?!?! They agree with the wax candle method or a bar of soap apparently but I have a feeling their tents may be made of other material.........
Don,t know if that would work or not i shoul,nt think it would interfere with the waterproof properties is wax not waterproof itself.i.e wax jackets or is that a different type of wax.
As an amateur photographer I like to get up early doors to catch a sunrise and the noise of the zips at 3-4 am doesn't half sound loud So any tips on quieting them would be a help

A squoosh is a squirt, but close up to the zip so it sort of dribbles down the teeth rather than go over the canvas, okay? Don't squoosh all down the length of the zip but put a single squoosh next to the slider and then use the slider to work the Fabsil down the length of the zip.
