Anyone got any idea what will fit, as I can't find a Vango Wide Canopy (the reccomended canopy for this tent) anywhere......

I thought the Sungari 600 canopy would 'do' but I can only find that in Sage, and my Columbia is Smoke....

And, do I really 'need' a canopy?

Had a good trawl round for you, but it would seem that the canopy has been discontinued. You may find one by ringing around the stores, but I have found this which is a Vango universal canopy for 2010. It isn't in stock yet, but would imagine it will be shortly. It is available in smoke ocean, which must be similar to yours, but I would telephone the store and explain what you need before purchasing. It states that it is universal to tents 220 cm high. Yours is 205 cm high, so unsure on how much of a problem this would be.

Oh, just found these as well on the same site, a little more expensive, but if you scroll to the bottom someone has asked if it will fit their Outwell Tent, and the store has said that it fits the entire Outwell range, so surely it will fit your Vango.

Let us know how you get on...! We use the Vango Adventure Tarp for the front of the Columbia, but don't have anything for the side.

Vango originally intended to bring out the the Sungari 600DLX and canopy in smoke and ocean, but may have dropped it (see website below), which is a surprise to me. May be worth contacting Camping World to clarify:-

I would also watch out on eBay - the odd wide canopy turns up. If not you can always consider going 2-tone or get a side canopy instead for wet weather.

Hi Helen.......I was just excitedly running over to say that I've got one........from right where you found it.........I found it earlier today, but had to wait for dh to come home to pursuade him that we really 'needed' it...he gave the go ahead and its now purchased.........

It should do as it has the same footprint, height etc, but you'll only get them in sage, although there may be a blue Wide canopy still available at the above website...

There are still a few sage Wide canopies around if you look. The website above may even have one... Good luck!
