we have just seen this tent on display at w&m camping in Herne bay. (Very helpful staff). We want this tent but wondered if it is to large for some sites. All the posts about large tents aren't that recent so i wondered if things have changed.
It measures 415 x655 and the pitching size is 610x940

I have the Amazon800 and have already booked a couple of sites with no problems. The rectanguler shape of the tent means it fits nicely on a pitch.
Goodluck with what you decide

Karla-------Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
415 x655 isn't any bigger than most tents, you'll be fine. As long as you've got one dimension under 5m, which is a typical minimum pitch width on sites that measure them out meticulously, then you'll be OK. The pitching width can be brought in a bit if you need to.
Actually, 415cm is the width of the Outwell Montana 6, the most popular tent there is. Nobody has problems pitching a Montana 6, otherwise every camp site in the country would be empty!
------------- Definately a fair weather camper. I don't like rain. Rain + Tent = Trouble.

Hi I've just purchased a 2010 Vango Amazon done one trial pitch in the garden and trying out this w/e for real.
Very impressed with the quality of the tent!
As you can see I ran out of room at the very front for the wings of the canopy!
Cheers Bowman
Hi there. We have the Amazon 600 and absolutely love it.
One thing we have noticed with ours is if you look at the front door from outside, the groundsheet to the left of it seems to rise up a bit no matter what you do. Ours is a 2009 tent but wondered if yours does the same.
Also if you are planning an additional groundsheet B&Q do a tarpaulin that is perfect size for about £10. (or they did last year anyway)
With regard to pitch sizes we have never had a problem.

Sorry about the big quote I am so jealous, i want my tent now and we arent going away until end of may.
Is that tarp for the whole tent ?
Haven't noticied the group sheet rising up as you mentioned - although it was a trial pitch straight up and back down - will have a look at this during the easter break.
The additional ground sheet in the enclosed canopy would be great - I'll be looking out for one of these when I next visit B&Q.
