Just pitched this in our garden and the heavens opened. It was quite tough to pitch but I am guessing that the more times we pitch the easier it will get. I have yet to put the inner pods in but I do think I could get the whole of our primary school inside.... ;-)
Anyone else have one?

That is the tent that the OH wants but unfortunately she will have to do with the one we have as we cannot afford a new tent this year since being made redundant.
If you check u tube and watch how the guy from Yeomans pitches the Montana 6 that will give you some tips as we have the Sunncamp Global which is the same shape and nearly the same size as the Holkham and it helped me

Well i have soaked it with the hose, but will leave it up for the week and see if it rains anymore. I found a couple of straps on the vestibule that help keep it on, but i am curious as to the extra guy ropes on the top of the tent.
well I would download the instructions from the kampa website. THe ones for the holkham dont work and the ones for the FIley look good, much better than what we got. THey make the most sense.

Just an idea - are the extra guys there for when you retract the canopy (as you can do that with these tents).?
BTW - Kampa are very good at answering their emails. if you are unsure about anything, try contacting them direct.
Ah of course thats what the guy ropes are for, it never occured to me that anyone would want to retract the canopy.
Thanks for the brains that I am clearly lacking today ;)

Hi,
Kampa have recently updated the instructions for the Filey. The biggest difference between the old instructions and the new is that they now suggest pegging the front out and walking the rest back rather then back first and walking forward. I would have thought that walking it forward would make it easier to line up with a footprint...
We helped a couple put up an Amazon 600 last year and it wasn't particularly easy (heavy poles) so I was interested in the Monty pitching video on You Tube that puts the back up, followed by the front and then the intermediate poles...
