Just a little update for anyone watching this thread. Myself and my daughter have had the poles out of the bag and the also the flysheet. Having compared the pole contents and the arrangement of the windows etc, it looks like something similar to the Vango Vail - certainly, it has similar windows on the flysheet anyway!
It's definately a tunnel tent and has three detachable bedrooms, what looks like a two, two and a three. Confusing us though are a handful of 'extra' poles and a small groundsheet - after having done a bit of research, it seems the Vail is the predecessor to the Nile, which has an optional bedroom that can be fitted onto the side - this could be the reason for our littl groundsheet. This has led me to wonder if the Tocantis is somewhere inbetween the Vail and the Nile, or possibly even the Amazon! Whatever happens, we've had fun investigating and researching this and do look to have a lovely tent..
We're going to pitch it tomorrow anyway, so will take some pics and post them up, just in case anyone else stumbles accross one of these in the future...

Hi everyone, well, we tried to pitch the Tocantis last Saturday. Got the poles threaded through the flysheet fine, but then when we tried to insert the pins in the ends where it attaches to the fly sheet, it was nigh-on impossible :o( We kept going with it and eventually got it to stand, but even then it just wouldn't line up and look right.
Once pitched it looks like the Vango Breckenridge, but this is obviously a prototype for a reason! Unfortunately it has had to be sent back.
So now the search is on for a tent that will sleep six (preferably a 2 + 2 +2, or 3 +2 +2), that will fit onto an average campsite pitch, with a decent amount of living space, not too big to fit into the car - any suggestions?
