We are considering the Martisa 500 but haven't been able to find one on display.  The layout and dimensions look ideal for us (family of 4) but have concern over the bedroom layout.  The smaller bedroom has a width of 130cm - they class this as a double, but most double airbeds are bigger than this.

Has anyone got this tent and used this smaller room as a double ?

Any other comments on this tent would also be welcomed.

I think the reason for this is that Vangos double airbeds are 130cm wide which is a bit of a cheat but if their double airbed fits then its classed as a 2 person room.

We went to see this tent at JR Leisure in Wigan today.

We thought the 500 would be perfect. We wanted a large tent with three rooms and a porch, one of the rooms being a double.

We had been looking for a display model for a couple of weeks. The 700 is huge, 7.5m long, and I know some sites don't like tents over 7m long.

I even took a tape measure to check the "double" bedroom was really 130cm. Unfortunately it was.

We even checked the size of vango double airbeds 140cm!

In the end we bought a Khyam Harewood Deluxe. Liked the size of the tent, decent bedrooms, large porch. Hopefully with the added bonus of a quicker pitching time.
