I've seen a really good deal on a 2008 Vango Nile 600. The reviews on here are quite good, however I've now looked at the Nile 800 reviews and am not so sure about it.
People have stated that their Nile 800 tents have leaked where the pods attach to the main body of the tent.
My question is - has anyone experienced the Nile 600 leaking ?

as far as i know vango still have their lifetime guarentee, in place ,so if you bought one and had any problems as long as you have your receipt / paperwork you should get it sorted, firstly from the place you bought it from or through vango
Thanks Heanoid. The tent seems perfect for us, will be suitable for our trip to France and also for long weekends in this country as we can remove the side pods. Just have to reduce our kit to fit a bigger tent in the car now !
for the amount of tents they sell, you will hear more from the bad reviews than you would from the 1000's of good ones. Don't worry about it, but just keep all your paperwork and if any problems take it back to get checked / replace / refunded

Hi we bought the Vango nile 600 last year and was gutted with it as on our first trip it leaked badly!! We at first thought it was due to us not putting it up right, but on our second trip it leaked again! It mainly leaked at the add on pod areas where you zip them on,the rain gathered at the top and dripped through onto the carpet. Also the entrance door is not fully enclosed and just held closed with toggles so if the wnd got up it would leak there too. As we were new to camping we bought this tent not really doing our homework, and thought we would just have to live with it.But i thought i would phone the supplier with my concerns and they couldnt be more helpful, we had to have the tent sent off to vango for them to decide if it was a manufacturing fault or not. and a covering letter stating the faults. It took a couple of weeks to sort out but we did get a full refund of tent, carpet, footprint. we were really happy!!! Have now decided to buy the vango amazon 600 2010 which our friends have got (2008 model) not tried it out as yet but will this may bank hol.
