Hi,

I am new to this forum but have been searching through for recommendations for porchs.

We have a quebec 8 + 4  which although is a tunnel tent, has a slight raised dome in the middle (all of about 3cm ),and have seen the  gelert horizon porch and the new beyond corvus porch, but we are still in two minds whether to buy either as we are still not sure a) whether it will fit well enough and b) read horror stories of it possibly ripping tent etc.

We are off in the summer for 2 weeks to Guernsey ( did it last year and it was great), but would dearly love to free up some of the space inside the tent and move the kitchen outside.Also prevent the rain drips when opening the tent in rain.

So please, please please,if anyone has tried either of these porches on this tent can you post on here.

If not, if anyone has tried and others and found they work that would be great to know.

Waiting with fingers crossed as have taken a real shine to these porches but don't want to part with rather a lot of pennies if they don't fit !!!!!

we sold our quebec last year and used the kyham sun porch, it fit perfectly. we were told the horizon porch wouldnt fit. never tried it though.

Hi, many thanks for the info Milly.

We have bitten the bullet and ordered the khyam sun porch today (cost as much as the tent did ho hum !!!,)It will be great to have a little extra  space as we will now be able to move the kitchen into it.

We can't wait for Guernsey this year...hadn't been for 15 years until last summer and it hadn't changed abit...still wonderful, our then 4 year old loved it.
