OH and I looked at getting the Outwell Dakota 8 at the end of last season but couldnt find one for love nor money. Does anyone know if they have been discontinued this year as cant find it on any websites? I know the Dakota 8 replaced the Utah, if the Dakota's gone, what's replaced that? Can't even find anything similar, please help. Tar.

Thanks, but they dont have the Dakota 8 on there. Have bought the Dakota 6 and will take extra tent for kids!!

The Dakotas were a one-season wonder. Yet when you consider how highly they were regarded in the reviews that UKCS member submitted one wonders why it was discontinued.

I rather liked them, though I felt that perhaps there were just too many windows. As a rule I think that it's a strength of Outwell's family tents that they have more windows than many other makes, it feels less claustrophobic when stuck inside due to the rain, but for me the Dakota went just a little too far.

Yes I know the Dakota 8 is not on there, they are no longer available in 6 or 8 format.

You asked what had replaced it which is why I posted the link of Outwells 2010 range so you could decide for yourself as there is no direct replacement.

This is starting to sound like the baseball sketch from Rainman !!!
