Hi Mick, we looked at this tent but decided to go for the Arkansas 7. I am not completely sure, but i think the fact that it says optional means you would have to but it.

Hi Mick,

I am buying the Ohio tent when I go back to the UK in June with all the drum & dra.

You mentioned a technique of folding the tent that you learned from someone else.

Would you mind sharing any info that would help. We are going to Salou in July (I live Basel, CH) and up to now have bought nothing.

Here is what I am thinking of getting:

Ohio XL tent, groundsheet, carpet

Outwell Aruba, richmond sink, dominica (L) cubboards

Outwell Hamilton table, Melville chairs, Devon lounger.

Gaz cooker camper

Waeco 40CAB cooler

Look forward to your input.

Rob (new camper)

PS not really true about being new but camping in 2 man tents at biker meetings is something else!

Have only used ours once but was pretty straightforward to fold, we just worked on the principle of the tent being approx 5m wide and the bag approx 1m wide and folded it up in sections. Also left the rear and front doors open to get the air out. Coupled with the help of two kids rolling on it we had no problems getting it back in the bag lol.

Good choice of tent, we love ours but would like to get hold of the front awning to store kitchen equipment etc, pretty gutted that I didn't buy the one on ebay that went for about £140 last week

Cheers Mick,

sounds straight forward.

Did you take the carpet out or left it in (some say do some say don't).

Yip saw the awning but because I am buying EVERYTHING new I'm trying to get a deal from whichever shop wants the money. I've approached a few shops in the UK and in Germany so I will see what happens.

By the way, I originated from Adlington, Nr Preston before I moved to CH 17 years ago !

Rob

Oops - not Mick I was putting in my opinion lol

Just had a scoot and found the awning for under £160 so may have to go for it v soon in case they sell out..

ps - dunno about Mick but we took the carpet out, don't think there's any way that would go into the bag as well!

Hi just wanted to say that we live in South Germany and bought all our camping set up new from 'Camping and Leisure world' in the UK because the German prices were far more expensive even when we asked for a deal.... we were also buying everything at once....

We had to have it posted over though and there are not many shops in the UK that will do that....however 'campi ng and leisure world' only charge something like 11.90 euros to ship out even with a massive order...

However if you are picking it up from the UK you definatly should be able to get some really good prices compared to on the continent....

I originated from Lancashire....Parbold to be exact!!! and moved here 10 years ago via London!!!!

We also have the Ohio Xl great tent!!!

-------------
take care CJ
