The more seams in a tent, the more likely it is to leak. Tents very rarely leak through the flysheet fabric but seams are just rows of holes that have had to be plugged up with sealant. One of the main reasons I don't like Outwells is because of all the windows, sewn in curtains/flyscreens/sewn in this and that.

I'm just a little worried about some of the comments I read on here last night about some of the Icarus poles snapping when tent was being erected, owing to perhaps the extra weight of the inner tent (which I understand stays inside the tent when taking it down?). Also some other posts about the rear pole bending hugely (and in one case snapping)during heavy winds - no such prob with my Yukon - so is this a prob with the design of the Icarus in particular or was it possibly incorrectly erected?
