Recently viewed a tent on ebay,montana 6, has a few spots of midew on it and the owner is recommending that we could use vinegar and water to clean it, can someone please advise me if this is correct or not.

You need Milton to get rid of mildew. Then you'd need to rinse it off totally, then possibly wash it with tent cleaner and possibly also reproof.

TBH though, why buy a mouldy tent? Unless it was practically free I wouldn't touch it.
