I use the dirt trapper mat from my front door (just grab it last thing before I lock up the house). It's rubber backed and it's often featured on shopping tv channels for £20 but if you go to B&M bargains it's £6 for the large and £3 for the small.
The last time we'd camped the grass had just been mown, but not collected very well. The mat saved an awful lot of that grass making it in to our tent and I think performs much better than any little mats you would get for a tent.

I have them for the house Frome - from B&M bargains
We use cheap car mats as well as the Outwell ones when we camp
We also use carpet squares inside - the one sthat carpet shops sell of cheaply because they have beenin the samples book

We have the Outwell mat outside (Just 'cos it says Outwell on it!) then one of those microfibre type ones just inside the door. For the bedrooms, we bought some £1.60 ethnic type rugs from IKEA as they were a fetching shade of green to match the tent!!!
