Hello everyone, we have had a couple of outing recently in our new Sun Valley 8. It seems like a fab tent to us and we are loving it!

The one thing that is puzzling us is the side extension. It is a Sun Valley specific one, not a universal, and I am having trouble setting it up I think. Could anyonr tell me if it supposed to sit over a side door or is it supposed to shift along just giving an extra shelter?

It seems to fit better if it isn't over the doorway. Am I doing something wrong? Obviously I would rather have the shelter directly outside a side doorway if poss but it does seem to just slightly cut across the entrance in one corner.

The whole purpose is that it covers a side door.

I'm wondering if they changed the shape of the extension between years, and the extension you have is made for a different year to your tent. Perhaps the tent height or door shape changed between the 2007 (sloped front) version and the 2008 (flat front) version. But I don't have the side extention myself so I don't have experience of the problem.

Definately a fair weather camper. I don't like rain. Rain + Tent = Trouble.
