Have not been camping for a good while as my partner and son decided that it was 'not for them'.
My daughter and I loved it and wish to now go it alone. We used to have a Vango Venture 500 which was great and fairly easy to put up but we sold it and are wondering what is the best tent for the both of us which is easy to put up?
We would prefer to have a small living area as well.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks

The successor to the Vango Venture is the Vango Icarus 500 or 600 (5 man or 6 man). I got the 5 man and it's a fantastic tent, a simple tunnel with three flexible poles all the same length so you don't have to work out which goes where. It's quick to put up too and it's got stand up height throughout. It's very cheap at around £140.
Have you got any tent displays anywhere near you? It's always a good place to start.
We do have an Outdoor World near us so we will have a look around there. I will have a look at the Icarus as a 5 man tent is probably better for more space, etc.
the icarus 500 is a nice tent, plenty of headroom.
but if you find it is a little too large for just the two of you i would recommend looking at the Sunncamp Evolution 400, it's not as big as the icarus but still has good headroom (unless you are over 6' then you can only stand up straight right in the middle) and enough living space for 2 chairs and a table. i know most people on here use them as a weekend tent but me and the OH use it for long weeks away and it's just the right size for us.
They have also just released the 400DL which has extra living space.

You could also look at the Kampa Bude 4.Has a really good spec typical of their larger tents: 4000HH, zip divided double sized bedrooms, SIG. Most significant is the 100D flysheet which will have much greater UV and tear resistance than the 70-75D flysheets of other manufacturers (lengthening the life of the tent significantly).
I have to say I could kick myself for getting rid of my Venture 500 as it was really ideal. I think I'll have a look on Ebay for one but if not, I'll be looking for the cheapest Vango Icarus 500.
Thanks again.
