It was not used in the latest heat wave, but the weather was quite hot. I don't really think there would be a lot of difference between either fabric because of the inner plastic coating. Probably quieter than pure nylon though. There is a lot of ventilation because of the very large doors. I am now totally dedicated to cotton/canvas. I will be away next week in my Vango Aspen , because my wife loves it. I will probaby take my small cotton dome tent, even if I have to pay extra to pitch it.

I may do an experiment, and pitch both my Juno and Peace togehter, and check out what it's like inside each tent temperature and humidity wise.

Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.

Thanks for all the feedback and advice.

I like the idea of the polycotton more than the nylon but I'm not sure why! I think I'll continue with my hunt for a Peace at the right price and if nothing comes of it I'll plump for the Juno.

Unless there are any other suggestions for a teepee/tipi/pyramid tent at reasonable cost?

I really like the idea of a quickly pitched fun tent for the odd summer weekend away. I should say that there is only myself, Mrs Slarti and our 8 year old daughter to consider.

Thanks again,

Ian

Hi,

i used my peace last weekend and found it very cool inside, no condensation but the door panel does fall lower than the doors so lots of ventalation, my sister has the juno and said mine is alot better the groundsheet is so thick in the peace and its very good quality fabric,

I also used it in march and the vents made the tent freezing we had to cover the vents with towels.

saying all that I would buy it again, its a fab tent and we only paid £59.99 in the yeomans sales so no complaints.

i agree you do get condensation in the peace, though when i camped, we fitted all 5 of us in it (2 adults and three young kids), so that's probably why! i also didn't like the front of the bathtub drooping and letting in a draught. i had to put a bag in front of it to keep it up. i personally wouldn't use it for more than a night and not all 5 of us again! though is ideal for husband to take 2 boys camping on his own, which is what we bought it for. He only did it once, and won't commit to taking them on his own again!

I'm surprised that we've had no ' taking the peace ' jokes yet. oops, we have now.
