I hang mine over the basement stairwell. Mind you I've got a 20' high stairwell and can fit the length of a 7m tent flysheet down the bannister, so perhaps not for everyone? Concrete floor at the bottom too so doesn't matter for drips. When tent is dry I take it to the bit of grass behind my house and pack it up there.
For the TT if it's wet when we take it down we untie the canvas, split it down into the various sections and dry it out section by section.
Almost all my tents have seperate groundsheets, so they get hosed down as necessary and either dried over the washing line or over the good old bannisters once again.
You can drip dry synthetic tents in a pile, shaking them out and refluffing them to let the air in. Best done in the bathtub if really dripping. Then drap[e them over the furniture for a night to air out totally.
Most tents will survive two days in a bag if packed away wet. After that, you're chancing it a bit. Even tents with dry flysheets can have damp corners, like webbing straps or the guylines. Because I've got a convenient place to do so, I air out all my tents anyway when I get home even if I packed away on a dry day. Never lost a tent from mould yet.
