We have large cotton tents and no garden so what we do is throw the wet/damp tent over stuff in the spare bedroom and keep turning it until it is dry.

You could also throw it over the stair bannisters, hang it in a garage etc. They dont take long to dry so wont be in your way for long

I live in a flat and we managed to dry our Ontario 8 by spreading it out over the living room floor and turning it regularly.
It was a bit of a pain as it literally took over the entire living room (the tent is actually larger than the living room) so we all had to be really careful for a few days until it was dry (but it was worth it!!)

I have been camping for years and have been extremely lucky with regards to the weather on 'going home' day, but then I do keep an eye on the weather forecasts and try not to go away if rain is forecast on the final day. I have only had to take a wringing wet tent home once and I later draped it over the rotory washing line.

Usually, if you take your time packing up to go home leaving your tent until the very last minute, any dew or overnight rain will have dried. This last weekend it was raining heavily on and off all the last night and I thought I was in for a wet morning.

When I got up in the morning it was raining on and off. I shook the tent several times to get rid of the heavy droplets only for it to rain again, but as luck would have it the rain eased off with about an hour and a half to go before chucking off time. I shook most of the droplets off the tent again then went over it with a towel. After that the breeze did the rest. When I packed the tent away it seemed dry to me.

I am sure it wasn't 100% dry but a tent is just a tent. I will be away in it again in a week or two's time. I'm sure it won't have rotted away by then.

I hang mine over the basement stairwell. Mind you I've got a 20' high stairwell and can fit the length of a 7m tent flysheet down the bannister, so perhaps not for everyone? Concrete floor at the bottom too so doesn't matter for drips. When tent is dry I take it to the bit of  grass behind my house and pack it up there.

For the TT if it's wet when we take it down we untie the canvas, split it down into the various sections and dry it out section by section.

Almost all my tents have seperate groundsheets, so they get hosed down as necessary and either dried over the washing line or over the good old bannisters once again.

You can drip dry synthetic tents in a pile, shaking them out and refluffing them to let the air in. Best done in the bathtub if really dripping. Then drap[e them over the furniture for a night to air out totally.

Most tents will survive two days in a bag if packed away wet. After that, you're chancing it a bit. Even tents with dry flysheets can have damp corners, like webbing straps or the guylines. Because I've got a convenient place to do so, I air out all my tents anyway when I get home even if I packed away on a dry day. Never lost a tent from mould yet.
