Hi there Bearlakers,

We have the Bear Lake 4 and are currently considering adding the bear lake side extension.  Do any of you have this and do you consider it a worthwhile addition.  Do you use it for cooking in?

Any thoughts welcome as we are trying to weigh up if this would be useful and what we would use it for.

We indulged and got one for our BL4, we have only used it once (so far) but instantly felt justyfied in the purchase. Idealy of course, we all want a front awning.

In answer to your question, Yes its a worthwhile addition.

I saw one for £180 the other day, if I remember which site it was I will let you know.

We have the Bear Lake side extension on ours. Managed to pick one up last year in the end of season sales.

We have used it several times now for the kitchen/cooking area, a must have in my opinion, as it keeps all the mess outside the tent but still undercover and attached!
