Advice appreciated:

Having camped for many years we invested in an Outwell Norfolk Lake complete with side extension last year. The tent is wonderful and we are very happy with it with just two concerns:

With three children (14, 10 and 6) and a labrador the amount of equipment we can take is limited; our VW Sharan and roof box is packed with no space for bikes etc. and foreign camping would be difficult.

It takes a long time to set up and this has put us off going on weekend trips.

I have thought of a trailer (although no towbar at present) but then wondered about moving to a a trailer tent. Having read many threads the Cabanon Stratos could give us what we want. I have no issues with trailer towing or storage.

I would like some advice on the following:

How much storage is there within the Stratos trailer?

Is it possible to have a bike rack on it?

Is it easier / quicker to set up than a polycotton tunnel tent such as the NL?

What about getting a trailer for all your camping stuff and putting the bikes on the roof instead of the roof box ?

I was thinking that if we had a trailer, we could carefully pack it with all the camping stuff and put it straight in the garage at the end of our camping trip instead of having to unpack the car/ pack the car for our next trip.

try asking on the trailer tent section as a Stratos owner may be able to advise.

I thought the same as you before we bought our biscaya, reason we never went with the TT was simple really. Buying a separate trailer lets you use it for static caravan holidays, trip to the skips, Cheaper (only just though) and your paying almost twice the price for 2 hard beds in the end and less storage space for the junk we all carry. That's just my opinion though as countless Tt owners are very happy with there's but this option suits us fine.

Thanks for all the comments. Can anyone advise over whether set up for a modern TT such as the Stratos would be easier / quickup than a big polycotton such as the Norfolk Lake. At the moment this puts us off weekend breaks.
