We have an Outwell Montana 6, which we love. We have found, however, that we could use some further outdoor space to cook in/sit and chill in/take off dirty wellies etc
We are torn between the Front Extenstion or the Front Awning.
We were originally going to go for the Front Extension but the salesguy said that the Front Awning is much better value for money and now we are torn.
Has anyone got either of these extra's for their Montana 6? If so, which do you have and do you recommend it/regret buying it?
Thanks in advance for any responses

I would say the awning is far superior. Because it can still be used like the extension but the extension can not be used like the awning. If you get my drift!
It has blinds to all windows for a bit of privacy, comes with a groundsheet, door rolls right up out of the way or a smaller middle door. It is a lot bigger than the extension. Would be safer in the wind rather than the open extension.
We bought a new Monty 6 this year with the canopy and not the awning. We would have liked the awning but it makes the Monty too long for some sites and we do not want to be restricted as to where we can camp.
Having both would be the best option but we cannot justify the cost.

mine ripped at the skirt seam when it was a bit windy, appeared that the material hadnt been overlapped enough when it was stitched so it just pulled out, kudo's to 'Go-Outdoors' who replaced it instantly even though i forgot the groundsheet and pegs on return.
Must admit it gives lots more usuable room but can be too long for some sites.
